Shift your focus from Search Engines to Humans
Search Engine Optimization has enjoyed a tremendous rise in popularity among Vermont businesses, but is that a good thing? The accepted SEO doctrine tells you to configure your website and write your content for search engines, primarily Google.
That’s completely wrong. Your goal is to attract visitors to your website, so why in the world would you focus on Google—the middleman—rather than people?
Vermont is all about people. Shouldn’t your website be too?
My advice: Focus on HVO—Human Visitor Optimization—and attract targeted traffic to your website. HVO will generate more business, help you achieve higher conversion rates, make your site users happier, and probably cost you less than traditional SEO. Oh, and Google will love you.
